Brief biography of Connie Sparrow

Connie Sparrow, on right, with her mother Margaret SparrowConnie Sparrow really started to learn genealogy when she attended her mother’s genealogy class “How To Climb Your Family Tree” starting October 6, 1998 in order to learn the method to Margaret’s madness, the “old fashioned” way.  Margaret said the “correct” way.  Connie had heard the family stories for years, knew all of her grandparents and one great-grandmother, assorted aunts, uncles and a variety of cousins!  In 2000 Connie and Margaret went to France and Germany to visit the places of their ancestors and met some wonderful and extremely distant cousins.

Connie worked for AT&T for over 30 years as a Computer Programmer, Systems Analyst and Project Manager.  She now uses those skills as a Real Estate Agent because she got bored in retirement!  She has a BA in Math from UNC-Chapel Hill, an MBA from Rutgers-The State University of New Jersey and a Master’s Certificate in Federal Government Project Management from George Washington University.  She is currently the President of the Anne Arundel Genealogical Society.
