The Huguenot Society of Maryland held its Autumn 2001 General Meeting on 7 October at the L'Hirondelle Club (L'Hirondelle Club, L'Hirondelle Club Road, Ruxton, MD).
Program
One of the Maryland Society’s most popular speakers, Dr. Orest Ranum, returned to tell us his version of “One Night in the Life of Louis XIV.”
Dr. Ranum, Professor Emeritus of French history at Johns Hopkins University, spoke to us twice before, and has been our adviser for the Essay Contest. Each time he speaks our members ask him to come back again.
